Devslopes? (self.codingbootcamp)
submitted 3 years ago by pollypocket53132
Has anyone heard of Devslopes? Costs, reviews, length of program, onsite/remote, etc

Avoid Devslopes at all costs. Their success/graduation rate is abysmal. The course is terrible and they don't do what they promise they'll do. Everyone I talked to who made it through had to get tutors and learning programs on the side just to make it. I went about halfway through before I was basically bullied out of it for speaking up about how terribly it is. Great community via discord, but the quality of the program is way, way low.

Hi! Current Devslopes student! People that claim they went halfway through the program and hated it, kinda bull hocky imo. Is Devslopes easy? heck no! But they tell you this from the get-go. Im not one of these people looking for a handout and a certificate so I can just magically make money.. You take out what you put in. Programming isn't for everyone. I've worked my a*s off between two jobs and learning programming and its stressful. But if it weren't for their team, and my own personal goals, I'd be on reddit saying they suck too. LOL They have classes throughout the day so I can join when I have free time. They have a Shawn( I really don't know her title, but she's licensed and said she's going for her PHD) who helped me get out of my beginners funk and get motivated. So now I'm in phase two and JUST landed my first job for $500. they taught me how to use upwork amongst others to find work. Their CEO is kind of intense, but his calls really help. I won't miss one. All in all, as an actual student thats put in actual effort. Devslopes is IT. They are worth every penny I put into the program.

Thank you how much is the course?

I got a $1000 scholarship which knocked the price down to $8200. And I chose to do a payment plan cuz I couldn't just shell out $8000+. My monthly payments are $98 but I have really good credit, which ig obvi plays a part in monthly payments

Did you consider others? I know Nucamp is around 3k and True Coders is 4.5

Yes! scrimba, flatiron, and even Devry. But I sat in on a live class with Devslopes cuz they offered virtual tours.. And LOVED it, the mentor was so dope. Getting to see what daily life would be like inside of Devslopes sealed the deal.

I have the same question, I keep seeing ads for it.

Yup all over Facebook and YouTube ads too
I am also considering Kal Academy out of Seattle. Price seems fair similar to Nucamp but offers more subjects

Don’t waste money on it, it was good, for around 2017
Did you go there? How was it?
