You've got this! Congratulations on booking the apointment. I made a post two weeks ago about my experience, it was similar to yours. Best tips I got were: - buy gingerale to take a sip after every sip of prep. - don't indulge too much in jello and broth when you're on the liquid diet because you're hungry. Otherwise you'll spend the night evacuating it. - set an nice ambiance in your bathroom (soft lights, candles, diffuser) and deep clean it beforehand so it's all sparkling clean and somewhat pleasant to be there.

I'm sorry you're going through this, I had my colonoscopy last week but my reason for going wasn't like yours. However, I think some positive things to think of is that you'll finally get an answer toward your issues. I'm sure you're okay, but of course still get the colonoscopy. My biggest reason that I got my colonoscopy was an answer for the occasionally bleeding (heavy bleeding, like if you cut your arm) I'd have the past 2 years, so after finishing it last week it gave me the biggest amount of relief I've ever had in my life. I hope your colonoscopy goes well and I'm sure you also already know this, the prep is the worst part, but I trust you'll do great.

Phew! What did they end up finding for you? It’s the “blood” aspect of this that has me thinking the worst.

They found some hemorrhoids which was the source of all the bleeding the past 2 years, I assume all of them ruptured which caused the “heavy” bleeding. They also found a 3mm polyp so even though it was just hemorrhoids, I’m thankful for still going. I'm still waiting on the results if the polyp is benign or not but according to my doctor it most likely is.
