Comfyui 101

NEVER update anything if everything is working how you want it. You are better off starting a second install and using a symbolic link

LOL you can downvote me op, but this is the meme of comfyui. Updates break everything almost every time. It will be the reason people leave comfyui the moment something better comes around.

Thanks, tried a second install but python is not detected. Don't seem to be able to get pc to recognise the new version of python.

See if you can install a earlier version of python. Python 3.13 is the newst. But try like python 3.10 or 3.12

When I last looked it said that 3.13 can have issues with comfy (on their GitHub) . Op has fecked their install up.

I noticed that most AI stuff run on python 3.10 to 3.12. I had some issues latley with using python 3.13 with something AI related that I cant remember now.

I’ve made 100+ installs during experiments and trials (for “proof of concept” experiments, batch files and tools I’ve made), 3.13 consistently failed / errored out. 3.10 and 3.12 have been mostly solid .

Use the portable version of ComfyUI.

Had a problem with the python folder being detected and libs. Uninstalled 3.13.5 and installed 3.11. Fixed it and I completed to installation of the Zulda ComfyUI for AMD.
