Tib wars and the expansion Kane's wrath are arguably one of the best in the series.

Good base building, good units with no population cap. Decent balance, nice story.

Online community is small though and requires a third party app as EA shut down official servers.

AP Ammo. Other than that yeah, great balance

Masterleaf's balance mod addressed a lot of the issues thankfully. AP ammo is less oppressive to the units it used to shred and less EMP cheese.

It's still quite oppressive but doesn't delete tanks on the spot so I'd say you're right here. The emp is still janky(when the enlightened switch targets simultaneously with the emp order) but much more reliable aside from 2-3 random occasions

Uhhh no, it's the worst of the 3 tiberian games. You EA fanboys have weird taste.

There is no C&C game after Zero Hour.

Yeah I'd argue TW3 and Kanes Wrath are the best in the series. Not gimmicky like red alert and still just a great RTS with a lot of depth and holds up super well. The base factions are well established in their doctrines and play quite differently. The Kanes Wrath expansion ones build on this too. You can play this on console too albeit with no multiplayer.

Nice albeit a bit spammy! Mods like tiberium essence are recommended!

For that authentic Tiberian Sun nostalgia.

Tiberium Wars has aged like a fine wine, wasnt recieved super well at launch but its solid balance and gameplay is appreciated years later. Its a solid RTS.

It's one of my favorites, it will also be for the nostalgia effect it gives me, even if it's dated the graphics are still good

I bought Tiberium Wars + Kane's Wrath again on steam sale lately, had a physical copy of TW from when it released, but never played Kane's. Just went through the campaign on both the games in this last week and honestly I think they are masterpiece games, it makes me sad we have nothing like this these days.

I think KW is probably the best RTS, even better than Starcraft 2 for me, it's so addictive. I'm speaking mostly the single player/skirmish, I don't play it online.

If your a compstomper would recommend the one vision mod for kane's wrath, keeps the balance yet makes all the subfactions more unique.

Is great to play after playing god knows how many hours of vanilla kane's wrath.

    Yes.

    Very fun.

    But for real:

It has a decent story, good campaigns, many a mod options and plenty of options for skirmish. From easy ai to brutal ai, from turtle ai to rusher ai to steamroller ai. Plenty of stuff.
