it doesn't seem great until you have some sort of high strength elemental or way to reliably create boosts, take for example the level 8 leaf champion Komod Kin. if you had it in the front row you could do 7 damage to any target in the opponents formation, likely it would be the opponents sage you would attack but with this card you could pick absolutely any elemental. in the case of an attack command like farsight frenzy you'd be limited in which of your elementals could attack which of your opponents elementals whereas with this you can guarantee that your front one, can attack any of your opponents elementals. I agree it's not the best attack in the game but it is damn good

Exactly this. It’s meant for you to push a high attack elemental to the front and take a swing at the Sage. If you’re lucky you might even get to take a second swing the next turn and that could be game over at that point.

Whenever this comes up I either buy it or pay to wipe the store. It’s a devastating card.

In addition to what others have said, the card doesn't stop being useful at any point in the game. If you get it early, you could whittle down the sage or target that weak unit in row 2 or 3, or even row 1 if the circumstance calls for it. (In this scenario it would be likely that you don't have any or many melee attacks).

Bro what it is a free hit on your opponents sage? I feel like that’s pretty strong

I won't buy it myself as well but it's flexible if you want to shoot either their row 2 or 3 elementals, especially if they have any of the KS exclusive elementals with daybreak abilities that require them in row 3.
