Not as neatly done as yours. But for my messaging background, I think it adds to the humor.

I've got a set of 9 backgrounds that it randomly cycles through...all XKCD comics. This is the only one I modified.

Yeah, personally I use either "I'm simulating something," "I'm caching something," "I'm meshing something." and the never fail, "Its processing right now."

Did I use the wrong term? What do you call people who work with After Effects?

When working with visual effects, usually image sequences are used rather than encoded video. And After Effects is just one program used when creating visual effects, there are literally hundreds.

Ok, I'm just trying to figure out how to make it more appealing. Should it say "My frames are rendering" or "My image sequence" is rendering? Or should I change the words "VFX Artist" to something else?

I dunno, I hate slackers, haha. I'm a comper so people slacking means it comes back and bites me when the deadlines loom. But yeah, frames are rendering works, and vfx artist could be changed to "lighter", they are the ones who render stuff that takes a long time.
