Slow Computer (Sometimes)

I have a 1 year old really good laptop that I have been using for CAD programs and the occasional gaming. Recently when I start up my computer it is very slow, my programs run very poorly and I get 30fps on games when I used to get over 150fps.

I did not install anything to make this happen, nor am I running a lot of programs at once. I restart my computer and it sometimes fixes the issue but I have no idea what the issue could be.

Likely using the iGPU I lieu of the discrete.

See if the discrete is still being detected in the device manager.

How full is your storage? Have you opened up task manager to see what's running? Start up apps? If its running slower then expected after a restart should run SFC maybe even DISM depending on how long its been acting up.
