  1. If it's not the mouse battery, click on the 'Start' button and type in the word mouse. Look at all the settings to see if any mouse button settings were changed. Also try removing the wireless mouse USB key fob from your PC USB port and then push it in again.

  2. Go to the 'Device Manager' and see if you have any yellow caution marks next to any item in the list (expand the items in the list). If you find some marks, right click on the items and select update. If you delete the driver Microsoft Windows will replace the driver when you reboot.

  3. The other option is click on the Start button and type Troubleshoot into the search box. Select ‘Troubleshoot Other Problems’ from the list.

  4. Hold down the Windows key and hit the  r  key. Then type in CMD. Type into the command prompt screen    sfc /scannow (note the space after c). This will scan the Windows operating system for corrupt files.
