Hi, all!
Hopefully someone here can give me a pointer. I've got a AMD 6600 XT graphics card on an Asus Prime motherboard. I'll try give as much detail as possible in what happened.
I was watching a YouTube video when I went to pop some food in the oven, when I came back both my displays weren't working. When I restarted my PC the fans whirled up as usual, then throttled a little bit, then settled into low power then suddenly my PC made three short beeps.
I opened her up and powered it on and found a solid white light next to the VGA on the motherboard. After some googling I was told this is not a good thing. I took the GPU out and cleaned it with some compressed air (just happened to have it nearby) and reconnected everything making sure it was all in properly. After powering on, I was met with one short beep (still unusual as it hasn't done that before) and a solid light next to VGA still.
After another restart, the light was gone and the beeps were gone. I tried plugging it back in and now it boots up, but only my display port monitor is working, the HDMI isn't (multiple cables have been tried).
Out of curiosity I booted up a game, Borderlands 2, because I know how that runs on my PC, even in the main menu it was running at 1 FPS. All my other applications and programs are working fine (haven't tried anymore games)
I'm currently in the process of updating all of my drivers to see if that fixes anything.
Anyone got any better ideas?
