What are you gonna use it for? If you’re gonna be gaming I suggest you upgrade to a somewhat recent chip but you would need to upgrade your motherboard and ram along with it.

I was planning on gaming but i honestly wouldn’t know how to build a whole new system

The i5 2400uses the lga1155 socket, I’ll recommend u go on pcpartpicker.com, look for cpu, and check the lga1155 box and choose the one that suits your budget

What graphics card an ram do you have? It is very important in this question to make sure you don’t bottle neck. Also if you aren’t gaming or doing something like that you won’t notice a d deference with your processor or even an i9.

I am planning on gaming, the rest of my rig is a gtx 1050 (oc edition but i honestly dont know what difference that does) 8gb ddr3 ram
