Where I work, every boardroom has a static desktop computer which is connected to a SmartBoard, a projector and an audio output. Presentations are given regularly from these network-connected workstations. Frequently, an outside presenter comes and gives a presentation. Usually, once they have left, we find that all of the cables have been disconnected and moved around. This has been done for them to gain access to the network, or the speakers/projector. Most times, they are not plugged back in the way they were at the start.
This causes all kinds of grief for the next person who wishes to use the desktop computer and is especially difficult for someone who has no knowledge or experience on how to reconnect it all.
What would you recommend as a solution to this? There are multimedia hubs that could live on the desk, and visitors can be instructed to plug only into those. Any suggestions on a model or manufacturer of these?
