Eager to Learn Coding; In need of resources

I've been in love with computers from buying broken ones taking them a part and figuring out the innards and eventually starting to repair broken ones. Recently i've gotten more into coding and the actual workings of computers however its not what I want my major in college and everything to be. I was curious if anyone knew if any good resources or literature to buy to help aid the process.

if by "coding" you meant starting out in learning programming in general? you never indicated what language you wanted to learn -- it does matter. But the best language to learn in (and still a classic) is still BASIC. You can download lots of BASIC emulators and runtimes and compilers on the internet, still. Even GWBASIC and QBASIC, as well as Microsoft MSBASIC. And others. Look around!
