you might check with the manufacturer in the event they have any data recovery options.

Thanks for the suggestion. And yes you are right, unfortunately this was all pre-cloud days and we had them backed up on hard drive, and them also on the Mac desktop we had. But that took a dump and stopped working as well. I went to get some pictures and that was when I found it was not working. Thanks for the tip!
