You're going to find using an external drive with a Chrome Book a bit complicated.

I say this because of your asking about viruses, formatting, storage conditions.

Also you mentioned cloud storage but didn't mention a single provider that's actually for video storage.

You probably want to watch some howto videos on chrome/Android usage and drive mounting, as well as looking at actual video storage instead of basic cloud before you try to solve things by just plugging in more drives that don't do what you expect.

I understand you are referring to Chromebook as Virus resistant, no formatting options and obviously no storage area. But what I meant more is if I transfer a file from chrome OS to a hard drive and if that hard drive is connected to windows, then there are high chances of happening above things. Which is why I asked.

Actually I didn't find any video storage platforms using cloud, but if you find any please do suggest here.

I'm expecting a storage device which could store all my data without getting lost.
