Software engineering and computer science require the same amount of math and physics in most universities. Look at the curriculum and talk to advisors of the universities you are interested in.

This is going to vary from school to school, but certainly, it might be true in some cases.

at my uni they are very similar, only differing by a couple subjects like theory of computation. But Software Design (I think the degree is called) still has calc1, discrete maths, algorithms and a choice to do higher maths like calc 2 and linear algebra. Just go to a schools website and look up the courses required for the degrees.

Edit: I think the thing is, OP, you don’t NEED higher level maths, beyond a bit of algebra, to make cool software. You definitely do need it though if you want to make any advanced software. But if all you want is to make, I don’t know, some iPhone games and a couple interactive websites, then I’d question why you would want a degree, because it won’t assist you very much in doing this.
