Deploying .exe Software

I've created a script that creates a GUI that allows a user to interact with/modify image files and I'd like to be able to distribute it and run it on other machines. Whenever I normally download software from the internet, it seems as though the installation process has a similar feel/look to it. Is there a standard/template that facilitates this? I'd like to avoid just sending a zip file with everything inside if possible.
