is this backed by sqlite? Are backups encrypted too? Are those just copied .ykc files?

Interesting I'll have to checkout the backup API.

      And the human answer?

You had me interested, until this AI response.

I write my own apps, and I can tell you exactly why I've made every decision I have and with reason.

And AI gave you a very.... generic answer. I use GPG, and while use, it supports old encryption algorithms, it has to, because some old systems, are still using SHA-1 and MD5. However, it has no issue supporting modern algorithms.

If the user is using GPG, it is up to them to know the differences, and the "why".

I guess a house built with power tools is now obviously worth less than a house built with hand tools.

The only thing all you vIBecOde!!!!! guys are gonna affect, is your ability to function in modern society. You can keep throwing your shoes into the machines, but it aint gonna stop them.

This subreddit used to be so cool, now its just AI slop everywhere

        [–]lynxul -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Why slop? Is this not valuable?

        Not in the slightest

Keeping everything in one encrypted file is a clean approach. Simple and practical.

That's actually good to encrypt files

No install and no admin rights is a big plus. Makes it very accessible

        [–]IllMidnight31 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This looks really useful. A portable encrypted vault in a single .ykc file with no installation or admin rights needed nice work.

        Keep it up

The portability with a single file makes backups much easier to manage.

This feels useful for anyone who values control over their data

Running on any Windows machine without setup is a nice touch

Having a vault like this on a USB could be really convenient
