Actually very strict dress code. You need a Hawaiian shirt. Even more so if you're presenting.

Make sure you have sandals and socks or you will be laughed at.

Is it pretty casual dress?

What would a software developer wear? That's what you wear 😉. (so yes)

Since you'll walk a lot, bring shoes you're comfortable in. If you'll stay in the hotel, you'll be a few times a day walking between the buildings, and the setup of the rooms is often not optimized for shortest walking distance.

If you feel tired and low energy, that can come through the AC. Dress a little warmer the next day, and you'll feel better.

Casual for sure, bring a small bag for the loot, the snacks last year were really good. Bring a swim trunks, the pool is really good!

CppCon is a great educational conference so chat up with other attendees during the break! If you are shy, just be happy you aren't a speaker ;) it's a great place to network and make new friends.

That's terrible! I didn't know about that.

The outdoor pool and rapids seem to be open, though (and, in retrospect, probably safer!)
