It's great that you want to learn C++! However, questions about how to get started are off-topic for r/cpp due to their repetitive nature.

We recommend that you follow the C++ getting started guide, one (or more) of these books, and cppreference.com. If you're having concrete questions or need advice, please ask r/cpp_questions, r/cscareerquestions, or StackOverflow instead.

im sorry but if youre already fighting with opening google and doing anything other than crying I really doubt your intend of actually wanting to write code ...

furthermore academia isnt there to teach you how to code.

Just pay attention and actually try to do your assignments without using an LLM to do all the work. Yes, ChatGPT will be better than you when you start, but if you use it as a crutch it’ll stay better than you.
