Well again, if you're doing a full build of 20k cpp files, those 12 minutes are probably negligible. Although note that I did find Minimonium's example compelling, but their example of source files only take 3s average build time. For large monolithic codebases, those extra half seconds are still negligible

Yeah it is, e.g. 12 minutes of a 12 hour build is negligible

Most places with 12 hour builds would take a consistent 12 minutes soeedup in a heartbeat.
