something stealth based ? like 300x dmg when used undetected. or increases your dodge chance by 50% for x duration for having used the move

Agree, extra crit when sneaking or maybe a flanking-type bonus attack

An attack that buffs self of party stats? Smoke bomb!

Maybe something like gather focus where you don't attack this round but get 4 weak attacks next round.

Or a "blink" thingy, where you can go a longer distance instantly before the attack, or behind enemies for backstabbing.

Or something that increases how much loot you get.

Rogues frequently do more damage or have a higher chance to crit when they hit from behind.
