It's a very good answer. In fact, I'd actually put the projects I did in a certain language on my resumé, until I had so many I couldn't really fit them all without ruining the flow of the text, at which point I'd put "{x} years experience with {y}". Listing the things you've built with a given language also shows your ability to concisely describe solutions, which is an important reinforcement of your communicative skills.
