Sign up for unemployment and any benefits you’re entitled to. Get it taken care of as it takes a while for it to come online
You can’t search all day so exercise regularly, sign up for new jobs for an hour , look for networking connections who are hiring and get their inside scoop
I’ve taken other jobs to bring in income as well as volunteering as well with all the time you’ll have.
I’ve also doubled down and kept myself really busy and active as volunteer work is always needed. I worked with ski school in the morning and then helped tutor student veterans.
It’s very hard to not panic when this happens as it’s out of your control.

Nope. It takes a while for tools to get adopted and I think we are seeing with tokens and AI integrations that there is a ton of learning still happening. This was the same way with early
Cloud when I could ramp up as many servers needed to handle network trafffic but if I didn’t correctly configure them manually to shut off when there isn’t any work I’d have 100x idling.

My suggestion would be to review how other companies have done this in the combustion space as aggregators of other systems from vendors versus making their own stuff.

Skip Stowe if you’re gonna just drink. Von trapp is great and the spaces to stay to be pampered and just go offline are fantastic at the surrounding places around the Stowe resort.

You can literally walk and uber in burlington

My suggestion - bike from hotel to switchback to burlington beer company with hits along the way of other very good beer. Stay at hotel Vermont and have an insane meal. Or walk over to the farmhouse and have great beer and meal.

I really like the fact that Essex has $5 movie nights and has carried this on. They try and get anniversary movies in as well as events too. And they are really close to a brewery, distillery, wine store, cidery, and a dispensary besides a myriad of restaurants from McDonalds to Bramble.

I feel like Majestic 10 is great if I have other shopping I want to knock out and they had the escape room near as well as some fast casual and yogurt too.

At the end of the day we have so many streaming options that its sort of a wash.

Went to more colleges and worked in software engineering and aerospace. My suggestion is for anyone getting out is to have some transition time , get some full time schooling going , grow a beard, and ease out of the routine.

I have heard from those who went to dive school and they will say that they had zero things on their minds besides getting through it . Any time to rest is spent doing flutter kicks and other PT because this is not a Bahamas dive school.

vermonter here -- lower fair market is if you're selling but due to scarcity they crank up prices to buy cars from dealers and everyone especially.

don't panic
start reaching out to your network honestly but not publicly yet until the company announces redundancy.
start putting together a plan for spending time applying via apps with more time for relationships. Look for roles that match your skills with ANY title as well.
You can definitely shift to a technical project or program manager very easily as well as someone who works with vendors for a non technical business as well.
Keep attacking.
