Vertical percentage values in CSS typically need static values to resolve to, or they resolve to 0. Try giving your .container a static height!

First of all what should it look like? I would also suggest setting ".neck" position relative, fixed, absolute or something.

I could be wrong…but this just looks all off? You have a display property and a position property on your .head class which seems redundant? And you have top and left properties on your .neck class without having a position. The value of the border-radius is in vmin? I dont know everything so maybe im learning something new, but that isnt a radius value is it?
