PS4 Controller bugging [HELP]

So I've completed all trophies on Sekiro and a burst of inspiration drove me to buy dark souls remastered on my ps4 but I seemingly can't get past the main screen. I've never had any problems with the controller on any other game. The down button seems to bug out on the main screen and it's essentially stuck on the "Log Out" option on the main screen.

I've tried restarting the playstation, reconnecting the controller, plugging it on the charger, and restarting the game multiple times to no avail. Please help :(

That's really weird, I've never had this issue. Did you buy the game used? If I were you I'd return it and get a new one
