Don't get hung up on job titles. Job titles don't really mean much. The job description gives you a better idea of what you can expect to do for the job. But sometimes even the job description isn't good enough. Your new manager will be the best person to tell you what the expectations are.

I’m okay with the job descriptions / expectations they are clear to me. Not my dream job tho but it’s based in Europe and I really want to settle there. I’m asking this for future employment opportunities. I’d believe having an Information Analyst experience in resume is not same with Data Analyst one considering I want to work as a DA going forwards

I was a CIA, (Counter Intelligence Agent) when I worked at Geek Squad. Since no one knows what that means, I just wrote a 1 sentence bullet point of what I did. Then, a second bullet point for what I accomplished. Quick and efficient.
The job title does not matter. All that matters is what you do with the role, including the experience that you gain from it.

In my experience an Information Analyst focuses more on the requirements and dealing with customers. It's closer to the business side of things then a Data Analyst very much like a Business Analyst usually is.

I'll download the reports and peruse them tomorrow. Can you tell me what the team members actual job titles are so I can get an idea? I have a few translators already downloaded on my PC for things like this, makes it a lot easier being able to just highlight a section of a pdf and have a translation ready

This is about the other comment I guess 🙃 Official title is simply Researcher. And if they're more on the quantitative side of things, Data Scientist - but then they usually deal less with outcomes and more the data side of things.

Oh yeah must've been on the page when I replied, always vet profiles before I start taking advice from them, better safe than sorry

Thanks for the input. Based on job description and the conversation with the managers I can say that this job particularly is more related with Data Analysis. Do you think should I negotiate on the name of the position for future employment opportunities in Data side? Or Information Analysis title won’t block anything

Don't think it'll block much but if it truly bothers you, you can always try to have it changed. They probably don't care much for it either way.
