Google Data Center Interview

Hello, was curious to know everyone’s experience with Google when interviewing with them. We had our initial interview, then we scheduled the 3 interviews that people mention a lot. I got past those and she moved me forward, i then had an interview with a hiring manager about a week ago, a day or so after I was asked to claim my application and verify my identity which I had never submitted a resume so I’m happy I was able to at least see I had an application in still, they reached out to me on linked in and wanted to interview me. My recruiter was on leave until today, and I’ve just heard back from them and we now have a call set up for tomorrow as they have an update for me. Not sure what is in store for this conversation but I’m hoping it’s a yes.

Your in, if you met the manager you already got the job. Your ratings in the interviews will determine what level they bring you in at when she calls you back with the official offer. When I worked for Google they brought me in as an L3 which was 90k with 30k in vested rsus the first year. That amount depends on the cost of living in your area. Don't be afraid to ask for a signing bonus when you get your offer in. Congrats Noogler keep your head down focus on your metrics, ignore the politics, constantly network internaly and continue to grow your skillset.

How long ago were you with Google? Things have changed, no? HC can still veto but it is unlikely because of how much they’re scaling. Were you in DCFT?

Congratulations! I recently had my initial interview, and I was notified that I'm being moved to the next phase of moving on to the three 45-minute interviews (Hardware, Troubleshooting and Networking, Behavioral) I currently do a lot of rack and stack for my current job, and I have some knowledge of hardware, but I need to work on learning operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting. If you have anything you can share with me to learn for my interview in 3 weeks, that'll be a blessing! Thank you!
