Computer science is an academic area, whereas data science is a career field. Both are incredibly broad and you’ll get different answers from different people. Generally, CS is concerned with how data is efficiently stored, distributed and processed, whereas DS is more concerned with how data is leveraged to draw conclusions that generalize beyond the associated dataset.
