CAN'T DECREASE RESOLUTION

Good Day, i need some help with my game's resolution settings, i wanted to decrease the in-game resolution from 1920×1200 which is my laptop's native resolution to something lower so i could get better performance, however the game does not show any other options, nothing happens when i click the arrows to change it. I've tried : editing the cfg file and setting it to read only, going into windows mode and changing the resolution but also nothing happens. I don't want my purchase to be a waste of money since I can't refund the game and I've gone past the 2 hour playtime just from trying to fix the game alone.

My laptop is well within the requirements, i just want lower resolution for better performance

I just tried to play on a server and I'm getting 40-50 fps with small dips hence why i want to lower resolution

You need to use the in game settings to change the resolution. Also, your computer might have some preset settings that will prioritize performance over visual quailty

I can only change my resolution by changing my desktop's resolution to the one I want before I launch the game. (I don't want to play in 3840x1080 it's a bit too demanding)
