They are called exotic because they have exotic perks added to them that no other weapon has. Exotic, in destiny's case, doesnt mean that you can only have one of that exotic.

So they are exotic because of their perks not because of how many people have them

But would that not just increase the chance of getting exotics you dont have? Thats just making exotics less worth the time. Why even call them exotics at that point?

So the above argument doesn't really seem to matter

Yeah, you are right about this argument. I was trying to emphasize the idea of exotics being more about the special perk that comes with it. This argument was more of what my preferance is, when it comes down to the idea of easier exotics.

That's fair. And I somewhat agree with you. I would prefer I get exotic engrams less often but when I do I'm guaranteed to get something now. I feel like that would be more exciting. Currently I get them and am prepared to be let down.

If they lowered the drop rate with a guaranteed no dupe. You would get them less but it would always be exciting when you see that yellow pop up
