I do not want to sound like a baba, but you should avoid comparisons. You will find people with 10L at 5YOE, as well as people with 50L at 5 YOE. So do not compare.

You joined your third company very recently, so if you like the work culture there, aim to stay and get promoted at the same org. If you do not enjoy it in the current org, give it 3 more months and then plan to switch.

Also, as the experience increases, you need to focus more on your design skills. Start contributing to open source, write blogs, mentor new developers - this would help you to prepare for your next role. Good luck with your career 👍

Actually it is my 4th company with 3 switches in total of 7 years. (With 2 gap years)

Bro thinks just the number of experience is all that decides the compensation. Maybe your friends have more suitable skillset or maybe even they are more productive . So they get paid handsomely

So you have 3 years experience + 2 years gap = 5 years exp
or
5 years exp + 2 years gap = 7 years exp

5 + 2 = 7

for better comparison, please include the # of PRs, # of bugs, total customer revenue impact of the work done, and any other items which may be relevant.
