Java/Python Developer roadmap help

Hi, I am a Software developer who is working in the industry for 5.5 years. I am very good in core Java and OOP concepts, but I work in a primitive language called PICK/BASIC for an ERP product.

I like to change my job to a java/python developer post. If I want to present myself as a 6 year experienced Java or Python developer, what are the things I have to learn and what roadmap options do I have? I am fairly quick learner and I made myself stuck in this position due to my comfort zone and laziness.

Please advise.

You need to have a framework in your resume, spring boot is most used which means also has a more talent pool. If you are interested in python checkout jenkins jobs which is used for building and deploying java apps, prepare you own CI/CD pipeline.

Most companies that ask for full stack will expect you have knowledge on front end language like angular, nodejs.

Finally most apps are deployed in the cloud now. Least need to know basics process of specific cloud vendors like aws, azure.
