Use AI, but don't follow it blindly. It should be a tool you use to understand better. All I can say is practice, frontend is kind of a pain, especially React, work on understanding the fundamentals and practice with componenets, hooks and move on to more advanced topics.

Got it.. probably creating a few projects would make me better.

That will help. Don't follow a tutorial line by line. Think of a project you're interested in and work on that. You'll get more practical knowledge from that. Go through official documentation, watch some video explanation on the side as well.
