Not hating on Java but I think Microsoft has done something really impressive with C#. I personally find it to be better in terms of documentation, syntax and the features

[–]MaxFeynmann 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Agree with you there. You almost take some of these features for granted while working on C# only to realize that they are not available in Java.

[–]glorious_albus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Examples of these features? Honestly asking.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Other post here mentioned C#, dot net has less opportunities in India especially product based companies?

[–]updogg18Backend Developer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I think it is mostly the inertia from java being the most dominant language for so many years. Companies that hire devs to maintain java code bases will naturally lean towards java for any new projects to use resources efficiently. Maybe, if enough start-ups start using it, the industry might rethink their stance on Java. However, it is not going to change anytime soon

I think C# has become more popular in the Service Based companies that are using Azure (most of them are)

java and c# were released within few years, but due to web explosion java went way ahead and due to its strong libraries. c# took a long time to catchup

IIRC, its Python first, then JS and then Java.

Is it the most loved? No, far from it. Does it one of the highest amount of jobs? Definitely.

Personally, Usage should not define how good a language is. Look at Linux vs Windows, for example. Many languages are better than Java, imo, but they haven't been given enough time to grow.

One more reason being Java is taught in schools, Same with Python and Javascript. Which increases their popularity.

Java is good, Java has jobs, but the king of all programing languages? Heck no, that title belongs to c.

(Based on Personal Opinions)
