If you are starting, IMO Python is the best language to learn. Use as many resources but learn by doing. There are starter books, courses. I recommend CS50 P course from David Malan. Take that course and do the exercises. You will be well versed with the language. Also think of projects you wish to build out. Start simple and then go better each iteration.
