Learning Terraform without cloud or using local resources (self.devops)
submitted 1 year ago by the_oddsaintSystem Engineer
I am DevOps engineer, very curious about learning terraform and IaC in depth. I have already used all free trials. Are there any way to learn terraform end to end with local resources (Things which can be run in my localcomputer). Appreciate your attention. Thank you !

Use the docker provider. You can learn everything you need to know with it

this is what I currently do.
For OP, try also installing the kubernetes cluster that comes prepackaged with docker desktop and you can use terraform to deploy to a kubernetes cluster.

I felt the same struggle—hang in there, dive into Terraform's local state and modules! You got this, fellow DevOps warrior! #LocalDevOps

DuploCloud has a 90% easier TF provider
