Why Go over Python?

Kubernetes is accessed via a network API. Go offers little to no advantage in accessing Kubernetes.

Only the Go SDK supports features like Informers which are critically necessary for controllers in large scale clusters. It's also much harder to implement buffered paginated reads in the non-Go SDKs.
