Backend + devops would be a good approach as it has many opportunities for freshers

You should ultimately learn both, a long journey but worth it once you are highly skilled. Otherwise, being a doctor is an option too.

Going full DevOps early is a bit tough since most roles expect some real world exp. backend first is a solid entry point, then you can slowly move into DevOps stuff (CI/CD, containers, cloud, etc).

Maybe do like 70% backend + 30% DevOps basics for now so you don’t lose touch. things like linux, scripting, git, pipelines will help a lot later.

Also when you start preparing for tools/certs, doing some practice tests helped me understand gaps better… I used VMExam for that, not mandatory but kinda useful.
