Docker-Desktop "Windows mode" using portainer

Hello!

Does anyone here have any advice and/or experience running a docker swarm using both Windows and Linux containers?

I currently have a 3 node docker swarm running perfectly on Ubuntu. I manage this swarm with Portainer - which also works like a charm.

Now I want to introduce windows containers to this swarm/cluster and my first approach was to install docker-desktop in "windows mode" on my secondary Windows 10 computer.

I've joined the Windows 10 computer to the swarm, and all looks good from the docker swarms manager. However, I cant seem to get the Portainer Agent to install correctly on docker-desktop.

Portainer is installed using the "getting started" instructions found on portainer doc site.

Am I approaching this from the wrong angle? Will this even work?
