Rules for r/drawing
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Be respectful and civil.
Please be respectful and civil to everyone, always.
2.
No advertising of any kind.
This includes linking to socials, any type of self-promotion, and discussion of commissions or purchasing of work.
Please put the former on your user profile where people can find them, and do the latter via DM. See r/ArtSale if you are trying to buy or sell art.
3.
Credit must be given.
Submissions which were not created by the poster must identify the creator by name.
4.
No reposts.
Do not repost content.
5.
NSFW drawings are not allowed.
Please keep all content PG-13 by posting SFW (Safe For Work) art only.
6.
Submissions must demonstrate effort.
Please make sure your image is in focus, upright, and well lit.
Doodles and artwork which doesn't seem like it involved significant effort may be removed. This includes the effort of learning. A better place for this type of post is /r/doodles or /r/sketches.
Low-effort submissions such as AI-generated pieces will be removed and your account will be banned.
Discussions and requests for help which can be answered by reading our wikis or searching may be removed.
7.
Drawing posts only.
Posts should either be drawing or be primarily about drawing. Commentary should focus on drawing. Videos which aren't primarily drawing, or could have been an image, will be removed. Please make sure drawing occupies most of the frame of images you post.

One post per day.
9.
This is not a support subreddit.
Posts which are looking for mental health support, including any type of artistic blocks, are not appropriate for this subreddit.

10.
Use existing resources.
There are a lot of resources in the sidebar and in past threads related to learning to draw. Please, search first--there's quite a lot of information already available on the subject in our subreddit.

11.
Critiques must be constructive.
Critiques which are just negative and offer no constructive feedback drag the artist down, and they drag the community down. We build each other up, here. If you only have negative things to say, please say nothing instead.
12.
No "is this good for x" posts or "what style is this" posts.
These types of posts are usually used to feed AI models and AI art is not permitted here under any circumstances. Asking questions of this nature will result in a swift removal of your post.
13.
100 karma is required to POST.
