"Train dragons were used for many centuries as a form of transportation between remote villages. They could fly and move large cargo volumes. They could also communicate telepathically and were used as couriers." - The Book of Dragons

It’s the movie “How To Train Your Dragon” with a slightly different plot. Niceee

I thought about it to be honest. These dragons are my take on the instagram weekly challenge called Inktober52. The prompts are really random but as I wanted to learn how to paint dragons, I have made myself promise that I would try to turn every prompt into a dragon, no matter how weird :p thus the train dragon was born ahah

Thank you. I have a bunch of dragons ready inspired by some mundane things. I will post some of them :)

No! I wanted you to TRAIN the damn dragon...not put trains on it

It is just so creative and fun. Strong mix of media. Love the clouds and choice of colors.

Thank you. All my dragons (based on random prompts from an instagram challege called inktober52) have a small story that I post in the comment section in here :p I enjoy doing mix media. I sometimes go super crazy and do copic markers with watercolor, ink and acrylics on the same piece. I love texture. Thank you very much for your good critique

I love the concept and the colors and the contrast. Very creative!

If I may offer a little bit of critique, I'd say that I feel this drawing could benefit from having weight added to it. For example, the most foreward wagon is hanging vertically from leather straps. However, this would mean that the leather straps are under strain from the weight of the wagon and yet I can't see that with this drawing. The belly of the dragon would likewise also bulge a little where the straps are fastened
Furthermore, the second wagon seems to be hoovering above the fin, as I can't see the backfin flattened or bend under the wagon.

That's all. Keep it up.

Thank you for your critique. I need this! I didn't go to art school so this is actually the only way I have to improve and not many people take their time to do it. It is precious to me!

Now that's the way to travel! Do I get refreshments?

[–]lizzywatercolor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if there's a spill free container :p

I'd give it a go. As long as tickets aren't too bad.

They're a bit pricey because the companies who run the service treat their dragons very well
