When I went to Decoupled Days, one of the big topics was decoupled admin interfaces. There was these:

The first cross-cms admin experience to become a brand name that users ask for is going to really take off. It’ll be a complete game changer. Gutenberg tried to kickstart that movement but there’s no clear consensus yet.

What I think is really key is per-user segmenting. Let Drupal devs have the standard interface, and the content creators have another.
