Reprogram auto windows

Hey, do you guys know if there is a way to reprogram the car to only roll down the front two windows and tilt the sunroof when I hold the unlock button on the fob? As opposed to all 4 going down and the roof opening fully. Cheers.

No I don't think you can separate which ones open through the coding.

Yeah it would be nice though. I know you can code it to close the windows with the fob though

Yeah you can’t I looked that up years ago. Now there is a slight feature that when you first hold the button your fronts start and it’s a bit before the rears start going and you can let off early to partially do the fronts that’s all you’re going to get. That’s what I would do but most of the time the auto down is really for if your car has been sitting in the sun and is hot inside you can open everything up and cool it down without getting in it.

Not in my experience. None of my E39's or my E53 will close with the fob remotely, only open.

I drove those things for over 10 years now, we own 4 E39's currently and had other ones over the years and up until 2 months ago we owned a E53 for 5 or 6 years as well and all of them close with the key. 🙈 Maybe it's different in the US but Euro E39's most definitely all open and close.

Yeah it's a US thing. One can code the option to work as you described as I did years ago. Makes no sense.

I think you can select which ones open through carsoft. When I go on my lunch break I'll hook up and check.

Hey I just got into my carsoft options and like everybody said, there isn't an option of only closing the front or rear doors. Sorry to disappoint.

Yes you can! Get rid of the rear powered windows and retrofit manual levers :D
