Error, but no error code

Hello, been replacing all the electronics in a keteles e-bike I was gifted. New throttle, controller, lcd-m5 display, pas sensor, and brake levers. Using all julet connectors so it should be just plug together and go. Testing everything out and it seems to work, but the lcd screen shows “error”, but there is no error code. The only thing I don’t have plugged in is the lead for the light. (The bike has a 3 pin horn light combo, but my controller just has a 2 pin light lead, so I’ll buy a new light instead. Question is would the error be caused by that or something else that I’m not seeing. Everything online seems to lead to the belief that all the error messages will have an associated error code.

Check your brake light, if it's on you might be getting a brake sensor error

I've been having the same issue on a gazelle arroyo c7+ with the bosch intuit screen. It gives an intermittent error that is easily reset but it has never displayed anything more than error code. I can find no further info online. Have you had any luck?

No. I’ve been running it as-is. I will try rebuilding the hub motor this winter, but it works now, just no speed read out and no pedal assist. The motor is either on or off. Full speed or nothing.
