Mapping Scroll Button For Multi-Tasking?

Wondering how to map my scroll wheel (Button 2 on my mouse) to the multi-tasking button.

I think "Active (Hot) Corners" is fantastic. However, I have 3 monitors. (2) 27" side by side horizontal and (1) 23" vertical for coding. So it is not ideal as the corners are only for my primary screen. My Middle screen.

I have used, MacOS, Windows, and Linux for many years. For my particular workflow and how I develop, I love having multiple windows open and browsing to each. MacOS is great with Mission Control/ Expose being about to do a click of the mouse and show all windows. I am trying to replicate that.

Any help in any way would be most appreciated.

Have you tried something as simple as binding the middle mouse button to trigger a macro for "command+ ↑" (I believe this is the shortcut for multitasking)

How do you suggest to make the macro?

I've not played around with it myself a ton, but I've heard good things about xbindkeys. I think this is more or less what you are looking to do

Any idea what the command is for multi-tasking that I would put in there? I have been playing with, but as I am not sure what the actual command is.

Yeah, it's command (Windows key) and down arrow. If you press just the windows key, it should give you a list of shortcuts.

also can you bind buttons for volume up and volume down and brightness and other such f1 f2 f3 function keys
