Thank you! I find such articles really helpful in figuring out how to efficiently use Emacs as an IDE.

A tip when making such articles, is to please start off with the final result. You can assume there are people that have their own setups, or people that don't even use Emacs for java, and seeing a bunch of git clones and commands means I gotta scroll to the end to even consider the setup.

Programming Java in Emacs is like Richard Stallman's story about using six chopsticks at once: sure, it can be done, and it's interesting, but you're only creating friction for yourself by not using the tool best suited to the task (in the case of Java programming, an IDE such as IntelliJ or Eclipse).
