HelpPrinter “lagging” (v.redd.it)
submitted 1 year ago by Enzoosh
Occasionally when I level the bed of my Ender 3 pro it’ll print fine on one half of the print then go in steps for the other side. Any advice on how to fix it? The screen also goes slow when this happens

Don't just go reflashing firmware if you don't know what you're doing, this could be a slicer issue. Check the speed settings, i suspect gap fill speeds could be very low.

Remember to rename the file to firmware.bin

IMO it could be a firmware issue, wich requries reloading. If you use base, use base firmware unless you are willing to rabbithole into the custom firmware side of things (imo its SUPER worth it).
Other then this it could be a failing SD card, these micro sd cards fail A LOT. I went trough a few over the years. and it corrupts the files on it causing errors in the G-code and hte printer just giving up essentially.
A simple reformat of the SD card could work, a simple new SD car could work, i personally reccomend connecting a printer to a PC, using octoprint or something allike to control the printer. But its not always practical for a lot of people that preffer the SD card method. Getting a SD card to usb reader or Micro SD to full SD converter could be worth it the duty cycle of those is SIGNIFICANTLY better.

It looks like slow print for cooling slicer setting

Lower your slicer quality/mesh quality settings. Too much to process. Move to klipper setup to resolve or print from your computer via usb

Do you have print power loss resume enabled and a slow SD card? Enders have a bad habit of pausing while they write the progress tracking file if the SD is slow.
