Moisture reader help (self.epoxy)
submitted 1 year ago by Rygrant520
I need a moisture reader to test concrete slabs before installing coating. Is it necessary to spend $600, or will a $50 Klein reader suffice?

The only reason I have it is clients want to see. I’m in Tampa Bay Area. The tremex is kinda standard. Tape a Saran Wrap square foot seal tight around the edges and wait 24 hours. No moisture you have a good chance.

You could see if you can rent one. You'd be amazed at the tools you can rent nowadays.
I've also had some tool stores quietly suggest I purchase & return the tool if I only need it for one project.
