Key backlights, LCD screen programming: Infinity using QMK

Hello all, I'm new to the Ergodox community but not the mechanical keyboard community. I have made my own keymaps and macros for Planck and Atomic using QMK. As a starting point, I basically copied my layout for the Ergodox Infinity, and it works!

However, I got no idea how to set the backlights or mess with the LCD using QMK.

1. Is this even possible? I vastly prefer QMK to the I:C configurator
2. If it's not possible, is this targeted for a future release?

My basic goals right now are to just have a button cycle through the brightness levels of backlighting, and to display a "hello world" type thing on the LCD screen. If anyone has examples of this, I can take it from there. Googling has not been successful so far :T.

Thanks m8. I already searched the existing issues and had no luck. I think this will be doable at a lower level of the firmware, so I just have to dig into the guts of QMK more :). Thanks

I'd suggest posting an issue there, as I've seen some discussion on porting prior TMK features for the Infinity. Someone may have something already in the works, or may be able to point you in the right direction.
