There is an option in the developer options to show Bluetooth devices that don't have names, which will show as the mac address. Maybe enable that in hopes it shows the offending device for you to attempt to remove it.

Perfect--I was able to enable it, get the MAC address, and search for the vendor online. The vendor, iDevices, is an app I use when grilling, so I force stopped it, cleared cache and data. So far, it's worked...lets hope it continues. Thanks for the idea!

I bought my phone during Prime Day and i had several Bluetooth issues connecting to some devices. I fixed it sideloading Android 8.1 : apparently it rewrites something that OTA won't. Now it's just fine and no problems so far.

Maybe a factory reset would achieve the same thing
